Motorola and Rand McNally to Produce GPS Cell Phone
Motorola and Randy McNally are teaming up to produce a cell phone with GPS navigation capabilities. They've named it Mona, short for mobile navigation. The software embedded in the cell phone will offer consumers an affordable alternative to built-in automobile navigation systems. A subscription based service, the system will transform Motorola cell phones into GPS enabled voice guided navigation systems. You will be able to get directions via voice prompts and even recalculate your route if you miss a turn. As in most subscription services the price is around 10 bucks per month, similar to a satellite radio subscription.
